Jan also operates a successful training, lesson and sales business out of her Surefire Farm in Purcellville, Virginia. The farm lies on 50 acres with an adjacent 300 acres in conservation with the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, and is right in the heart of Virginia horse country. Surefire facilities include an outdoor sand arena, Beginner Novice through Intermediate cross-country courses, and easy access to gallop tracks and Area II and III events. Each winter, the Surefire Team spends several months in Aiken, South Carolina.
